TEGO® RHEO 8600 is a non-ionic thickener based on polyurethane.
TEGO® RHEO 8600 is a very efficient thickener for dispersions based on acrylates, vinyl-ethylene-copolymers (VAE) and polyvinyl acetate (PVAc).
TEGO® RHEO 8600 provides high viscosity in dispersions where standard thickening agents such as acrylates at low pH or polyvinyl alcohols for PVAc/VAE-dispersions fail.
Its Newtonian flow behaviour is beneficial in applications wherein thick layers need to be applied such as in construction tapes.
Additionally, TEGO® RHEO 8600 is very useful, if the adhesive needs to be applied very precisely e. g. in dots without flowing apart. Such applications require a high viscosity that can stand high shear stress.
